Women In Stone (WIS) is now accepting nominations for its 2024 WIS Pioneer Award. Each year this award recognizes an advocate within the stone industry for their role in recruiting, retaining and advancing women.

While only working in the stone industry for several years, Megan Ognibene, a stone design consultant at Buechel Stone in Kohler, WI, has immersed herself by taking an active role in several organizations, as well as being devoted to assisting her clients in finding the appropriate stone material for their project. The Natural Stone Institute has announced Megan Ognibene as a recipient of the 2022 Natural Stone Scholarship and Women in Stone Empowerment Scholarship. Megan will be celebrated during the association’s annual Awards Ceremony at StonExpo in Las Vegas on January 31st.
