Headquartered in Vail, CO, Gallegos Corporation has been servicing the residential and commercial sector for 50 years. This year commemorates the company’s Silver Anniversary. Recently, Gary Woodworth, president and chief executive officer who has been with the company for over 25 years, shared with Stone World some of his thoughts on what has contributed to Gallegos’s success.
The company, which is based in Little Rock, AR, has evolved through the years – ultimately becoming a fully automated shop 15 years ago. Advanced technology has allowed Goodson to grow the business and find its niche in producing custom remodel work for luxury homes, as well as mass producing quartz shower bases.
For 15 years, Paul Getz was a tile installer. On one of his projects, Getz subbed out the fabrication work for a countertop and installed it himself. This trend of installing countertops continued for a while before Getz decided to open up his own countertop fabrication business.

About 10 years ago, former Stone World editor, Michael Reis, traveled to Carson City, NV, to visit James Donaire of Perfection Connection Marble & Granite, Inc. At that time, Donaire faced a lot of competition in the market, as he specialized primarily in middle- to high-end residential fabrication, with a very small focus on the commercial market.
While Hunter Adams did not have any prior fabrication experience, he did have a MBA and business sense. So when a long-time family friend asked if he would be interested in buying his solid surface company, Trindco, Adams decided to take the leap of faith.
Leonardo Rapaj first started working with stone in his home country of Albania. He made his way through Greece, Italy, Switzerland and France, working with stone before finding his way to the U.S. In 2001, Leonardo’s Marble & Granite opened its doors in Farmington Hills, MI.
