The company's manufacturing facility in Izmir, Turkey, has officially achieved Zero Waste Certification, a nationally recognized environmental certification issued by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change of the Republic of Turkiye.

The transaction is intended to support further investment in production capabilities, technologies and material research, while also reinforcing its presence in key international markets, particularly in North America, the United Kingdom and the Middle East.

Travis McDermott was recently named president of the family-run business, while is father, Ron McDermott, remains actively involved as CEO.

Tennessee Marble Company’s (TMC) operational assets have been acquired by Raider Quarries LLC. Raider Quarries is an affiliate of Silvara Stone, in Crossville, TN.

For the third consecutive year, Centrorochas, in partnership with ApexBrasil, hosted a group of journalists, influencers, designers and buyers from various countries for the “It’s Natural—Brazilian Natural Stone” program to promote stone exports and learn about the Brazilian stone industry. 

The 2024 Natural Stone Institute Study Tour included visits to the stoneworking regions of Utah and Idaho.
