Pattern takes precedence with Tile of Spain-branded manufacturer Apavisa’s new Hydraulic series, which embraces more dated architectural features to enhance contemporary spaces. Based on the hydraulic style developed in southern France in the middle of the 19th century, the 30- x 30-cm tile series is available in four colors — Patchwork Natural, Grey Natural, Black Natural and Blue Natural — many of which contain more than 20 random patterns per box. www.apavisa.com
One of Metropol’s new porcelain tile collections, “Loussiana,” embraces a cementitious look with a touch of rusticity. The series comes with a module decorated with geometric shapes reminiscent of hydraulic cement. Available in floor and wall tiles, the collection comes in three main colors: Blanco, Gris y Beige and Grafito y Negro; and six different sizes: 10 x 28, 40 x 20, 30 x 30, 16 x 30, 24 x 24 and 12 x 24 inches. Camelot by Monocibec is a collection of ceramic tiles with clear, distinctive color contrasts. The tiles give a sense of vibrancy and emphatically underline the strength and durability of cutting-edge porcelain stoneware. There are four large modular sizes, with a choice of two finishes: natural and polished. In pursuit of new design standards, Tile of Spain-branded manufacturer Pamesa has expanded its porcelain tile catalog in a variety of shades, styles and finishes with its Complacglass and Luxglass families. Defined by the beauty, nobility and sophistication of marble, the company introduced one of its new collections, Aryan. Applicable for floors and walls, the collection is available in two colors — Aryan Crema and Malla Aryan Crema — and three formats — 30 x 3 x 61.3, 30 x 60 and 60 x 60 inches — all of which lend a touch of class and glamour with a contemporary feel. www.pamesa.com

Tile of Spain-branded manufacturer Keraben’s new Nature collection embraces a stony look and provides a great graphical variety, with its 15 different pieces in larger sizes. Wall tiles are available in 12 x 36, 20 x 20, 25 x 50 and 25 x 25 inches in Bone and Grey. With the aim of supporting U.S. ceramic tile distributors and importers, Tile of Spain-branded manufacturer La Platera introduced a new design, Blendstone, specially designed for the U.S. market. These modular porcelain products come in four sizes: 6 x 6, 12 x 12, 18 x 18 and 12 x 24 inches, and were designed to use for installation. Laticrete’s new 125 Sound & Crack Adhesive is a crack prevention and sound isolation adhesive mortar that is independently tested to ANSI A118.12 specification for crack isolation for ceramic tile and stone installations and to ASTM E2179 and ASTM E492 for impact sound isolation. Mapei introduced two ShowerPerfect Installation Kits — one that uses a liquid membrane for waterproofing and one that uses a sheet membrane. These installation systems focus on tub-to-shower conversions in hotels, hospitals, university dorms, condos and rental apartments, where contractor production and end performance are critical.
