Asia's production of porphyry, basalt, and quartzite reached a record high of 243 million tons in 2024, marking a 4.7% increase over the previous year and a steady 3.0% annual growth rate since 2013. In value terms, production stood at $45.6 billion, slightly down from 2023’s peak of $52.5 billion, though representing 2.8% compound annual growth since 2013.

The 22nd China Xiamen International Stone Fair was successfully held from July 30 to August 2, 2022. The four-day show revealed many new trends of the stone industry. Under the new “normal,” Xiamen Stone Fair strives to connect the stone community in a broad circle to revitalize the industry.

The 2020 edition of the Xiamen Stone Fair marks the exhibition’s 20th anniversary, and it is planning a series of special events to celebrate. Show management is requesting past attendees to send in photos of their favorite show memories from previous years. Those that are selected will be used in the show’s anniversary promotions.

The Natural Stone Institute, in coordination with the China Xiamen International Stone Fair, is inviting association members to join a volunteer delegation to the 2020 fair. The China Xiamen International Stone Fair connects thousands of buyers, suppliers, and manufacturers from around the globe.
