As with almost anything, over time things and people evolve and change. What was popular at one time, might soon be a thought in the past. Often technology contributes to these transitions. This definitely holds true in the fabrication world.

We at Contemporary Stone & Tile Design are excited for the New Year once again. Not only does it give the magazine an opportunity to plan out what it will be like for the next 12 months, but also reflect on the previous year.

Manufacturers of fabrication machinery continue to research and develop new equipment to satisfy the needs of their customers. Technology continues to become more sophisticated, which leads to innovative stoneworking machinery that results in better efficiency and less labor in the shop. The following are some of the latest fabrication machinery that is available today.

With dramatic views of the Texas Hill Country as a backdrop, the design of a new private residence set on a 10-acre site in the Cordillera Ranch subdivision in Boerne TX, was influenced by its natural setting from the initial planning phase.

At this year’s The International Surface Event (TISE), scheduled for January 23 to 25, 2019 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV, the Marmomac International Pavilion will host leading stone and machinery suppliers from India, Italy, Portugal and Turkey.

Every January, Stone World reports the statistics found in a purchasing plan survey conducted by the Clear Seas Research Department at BNP Media (Stone World’s parent company), and the results for 2019 are encouraging.
