The Xiamen Stone Fair has been building momentum as a reputable international stone exhibition, and the 2018 edition is expected to be even bigger. Now in its 18th year, the next edition is slated for March 6 to 9, at the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center.

The Natural Stone Institute and Stone World magazine have announced the schedule for the 2018 Stone Industry Education Series. In 2018, Stone Summits will be held in 10 cities across the U.S.

The Stone Fabricator’s Alliance (SFA) holds several workshops annually, hosted by member companies. These workshops are free of charge to SFA members in good standing, and they are designed to provide a wealth of knowledge and learning opportunity for the industry.

The first two events of the 2017 Stone Industry Education series - organized by the Marble Institute of America+Building Stone Institute (MIA+BSI) and Stone World - kicked off in Phoenix, AZ, on February 15 followed by Houston, TX, on March 9.

The University of Ceramic Tile and Stone (UofCTS) just released an updated version of the popular “Tile Installer Thin-set Standards (ITS) Verification” course. The U.S. and Canadian versions of this course were updated, as well as the Spanish version.

Once again a contingency of fabricators came together during The International Surface Event, which was held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center from January 18 to 20, 2017, to participate in a Fabricator Forum.
