Crossville Releases New Tile Collection

October 2, 2025

CROSSVILLE, TN -- Crossville, a brand of AHF Products and a leader in porcelain tile innovation, unveiled Portland Cliff™, a sophisticated new tile collection that marries historical inspiration with cutting-edge technology. Drawing from the iconic Portland stone quarried exclusively on the Isle of Portland in South Dorset, England, Portland Cliff brings timeless elegance and natural authenticity to modern interiors.

“This collection is all about balance—between heritage and innovation, beauty and function,” said Terri Marion, Product Manager at Crossville. “Portland Cliff offers a versatile palette and format that works across residential and commercial applications, while honoring the timeless appeal of one of the world’s most iconic stones.”

Aesthetic versatility is at the core of Portland Cliff. With a soft, organic surface and a palette of five serene neutrals -- Blush, Echo, Cavern, Sheer and Ashlar -- this collection brings a calming refined presence to any space. From spa-like bathrooms and minimalist kitchens to grand lobbies and hospitality venues, Portland Cliff enhances a wide range of residential and commercial applications with quiet sophistication.

This collection also features Crossville’s Visual Touch Technology™, an advanced glazing innovation that mimics the intricate veining, linear patterns and tonal variations of true Portland stone. The result is a porcelain tile that not only looks like a natural stone but also feels like it --creating a sensory connection between design and touch.

“With Portland Cliff, we set out to capture the quiet strength and elegance of true Portland stone, but in a format that meets the performance demands of today’s spaces,” Marion added. “Thanks to our new Visual Touch Technology, designers and end users get not just the look, but also the tactile experience of natural stone -- without the limitations.”

Available in two generously proportioned field tile sizes – 12 x 24 and an expansive 24 x 48 inches -- Portland Cliff supports both intimate and large-scale applications. A matte UPS finish with Visual Touch offers elegance and tactile realism for interior spaces, while an exterior finish in the 12- x 24-inch size enables visual continuity from indoors to out. Coordinating trim pieces, including bullnose and cove base, ensure code-compliant and visually cohesive installations.

Designers will also appreciate the addition of two mosaic options: a clean 2 x 4inch stacked mosaic and a distinctive barrel mosaic, new to Crossville’s offerings. These pieces add textural detail and creative versatility, expanding the collection’s potential in both functional and decorative applications.

This carbon-neutral tile is produced in the U.S. with up to 15% recycled content and innovative finishes for both interior and exterior use. It is the fourth in Crossville’s carbon neutral collections. In addition, AHF Products has obtained its First Carbon Neutral Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for porcelain (Crossville).

Rooted in History, Designed for Today

The story of Portland Cliff begins with the legendary Portland stone, a creamy white Jurassic limestone known for its fossil-rich formations and used in some of the world’s most iconic structures -- from St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Palace of Westminster to the Tower of London. Though prized for its beauty and resilience, natural Portland stone is costly and limited in availability due to its exclusive UK origin.

Portland Cliff offers a modern tribute to this legacy. By capturing the visual depth and organic patterns of the stone in durable porcelain, Crossville delivers a product that honors tradition while supporting contemporary needs -- durable, stain-resistant, low-maintenance and ideal for high-traffic or moisture-prone environments.

Portland Cliff is recommended for interior floors (dry), walls, countertops, exterior walls and pool waterlines and linings in both residential and commercial settings. The mosaic options can be used for wet interior floors, while the exterior finish expands the collection’s use to wet interior floors and exterior horizontal surfaces, including paving.
