Breton: Six Decades of Innovation in Stone Fabrication Machinery

Breton S.p.A. has been an innovator of fabrication equipment for the stone industry for more than 60 years. The company was founded by Marcello Toncelli in 1963 in Castello di Godego, Italy. Initially established under the name Brevetti Toncelli S.p.A., the company’s name changed to Breton S.p.A. in 1966. Since 2000, the machinery manufacturer has been under the leadership of the second generation of the Toncelli family: Luca and Dario. The board of directors also includes Roberto Chiavacci, deputy chairman and the founder's historic partner.
Breton welcomed the Stone Fabricator’s Alliance’s (SFA) Italy Tour to its facility, and the fabricators were happy for the opportunity to visit. After a brief presentation to explain the company’s history and technology, the group was guided through a showroom of innovation and the production area. The tour concluded with several machine demonstrations.
“Walking into Breton and seeing how these machines are made and the attention to detail that is given is amazing,” said Trey Monday of BBG Granite, Williamsburg, VA. “Seeing how seriously the workers in the factory take their jobs and how proud they are of what they do is also incredible.”
