Braxton-Bragg’s 25 Good Deeds for Its 25-Year Anniversary Continues with Knoxville Habitat For Humanity Build and Donation

KNOXVILLE -- Employees of Braxton-Bragg participated in a Knoxville Habitat for Humanity Team Adopt-a-Build Day on May 11, as a part of its 25 Good Deeds to celebrate 25 years in business.

This Knoxville Habitat house is built with the very deserving Bussell family. Ruth Bussell is a single mom of three teenagers – Nicholas (14), Diamond (16) and Boston (18), who is also coping with various medical challenges including diabetes and a blood clot that can lead to seizures. Despite her health issues, Ruth still works hard and loves her longtime job as a certified nursing assistant at a local nursing home.

After experiencing numerous issues over the years as renters–from a ceiling collapse to a fire and then mold–Ruth and her family are so thankful for the opportunity to own their own home.

“Owning a home has always been a dream to me,” said Bussell. “I am so thankful for the opportunity to partner with Knoxville Habitat for Humanity to make my dream a reality. God bless all the people that are willing to help and work with us.”

“Knoxville Habitat for Humanity is so grateful for Braxton-Bragg’s generous support, not only financially, but through their time and volunteering,” said Kristen Kaldenberg, Habitat for Humanity Donor Relations Manager. “As a team, they decided to dedicate their Saturday to help Ruth and her family in the construction of their home. It’s through these tangible experiences that we are able to share our mission and engage organizations like Braxton-Bragg in a meaningful way.”

“It was an honor and a privilege to help this deserving family achieve their dream of owning a house, in conjunction with Knoxville Habitat For Humanity and other community members,” said Rick Stimac, Braxton-Bragg CEO. “We wish them all the best and hope they make some beautiful memories in this new home.”
