With an increasing number of tile installations coexisting with other surface coverings, the need arises for appropriate transitions within and around the tiled surface. Profile pieces provide aesthetically pleasing transitions between a wide array of surface coverings.

Engineer Steve Webb and stonemason Pierre Bidaud began a partnership in 2009 to radically rethink the possibilities of stone in contemporary construction.  They discussed their evolving research and showed examples of their work.
