The International Surface Fabricators Association (ISFA) begins its 2025 event series with an upcoming Fabricator Forum in Montreal, Canada, on April 16th and17th. Following a successful event series in 2024, this event will deliver expert-led presentations, peer- to-peer discussions, a facility tour and networking opportunities tailored for industry professionals. 

Coverings, North America’s leading international tile and stone showcase and educational conference, has announced an expanded roster of both new and returning programs and activations for Coverings 2025. 

In a letter nominating Susan Moser for the 2025 Women in Stone Pioneer Award, Mikkel Dohn Moser praises his aunt’s promotion of gender equality as not only exemplary, but also deeply inspirational and deserving of recognition. 

Exceptional contributions, outstanding skills and unwavering dedication to the art of stone carving are a few reasons why David Tyrrell, managing director at Traditional Cut Stone, nominated Lawrence Voaides as the 2024 Craftsman of the Year.

The event will culminate in many women taking the first-ever, Women-Only Certified Tile Installer (CTI) hands-on exam, helping to increase female representation in the field. 

Scott Lardner of Rocky Mountain Stone in Albuquerque, NM, has received the 2024 Migliore Award for Lifetime Achievement. Lardner’s father, Vince, started Rocky Mountain Stone in 1963 as a supplier of building and landscaping stone.

Two-thirds of Ontario contractors (67 percent) say they are feeling positive about the future of Ontario’s construction industry, eight in 10 predict stable or rising revenues in 2025 and more than a quarter (28 per cent) are expected to increase the number of employees on their team, according to an annual survey conducted by the Ontario Construction Secretariat (OCS). 

Industry experts will share valuable insights on both the machinery and materials side of fabrication.

Speakers are encouraged to submit proposals to participate in leading education and live demonstrations.
