All-women certified tile installer (CTI) exam marks a milestone for female tile professionals.

Laura Grandlienard, the head of ROCKin’teriors, has been named the 2024 Stone World Fabricator of the Year, a prestigious accolade that underscores her team’s dedication to excellence in stone fabrication and design. In a recent interview on the Stone World podcast, Grandlienard shared insights into her journey, the significance of the award and her perspective as a woman leader in the industry—fittingly timed with Women’s Month in March 2025.

The event will culminate in many women taking the first-ever, Women-Only Certified Tile Installer (CTI) hands-on exam, helping to increase female representation in the field. 

Ten years of recruiting, retaining and advancing women in the natural stone industry by providing networking connections and educational resources.

In recognition of Women’s History Month, ICG Italia hosted an empowering event, Inside The Architect Studio: A riveting exploration into the lives of women leading the industry on March 13th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the ICG Gallery located at 111 Rhode Island Street, Suite B. 

What started as a back-of-the-napkin idea came full circle this February at TISE 2023.  At the industry’s largest surface event, a select group of women in the stone industry came together and held their inaugural female fabrication-networking event, establishing themselves as “Women Who Rock”. 

The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) – the world’s leading non-profit trade association for the kitchen and bath industry, presented its inaugural Women to Women Mentoring Conference September 6 to 8, 2022 at the 21c Hotel in Louisville, KY.

Kim Dumais (Miller Druck Specialty Contracting) is the 2022 Women in Stone Pioneer Award recipient. 

Brie Pfannenbecker is the recipient of the 2021 Women in Stone Pioneer Award.
