Kyoto from Tile Club draws its inspiration from the gestural tradition of palette knife painting, capturing the softly layered dimensional quality of impasto technique in a large-format porcelain tile with a glazed finish that adds subtle gloss to the raised pattern. Crafted in Spain, the 23.6- x 47.2-inch panels are designed to be installed in pairs, forming a seamless botanical mural in black, white, peach and gray that reads as a single sweeping composition. Despite its painterly appearance, the porcelain body is durable and heat- and water-resistant, suitable for backsplashes behind stoves or sinks, shower walls or fireplace surrounds.
