Upcoming Stone Summit Focuses on Finance and Profitability

OLIVE BRANCH, MS – Pacific Shore Stones will host a Stone Industry Education (SIE) event at its facility in Olive Branch, MS, on the border of Memphis, TN, on Thursday, April 16, 2026. The event, organized by Stone World in partnership with the Natural Stone Institute (NSI), is designed to be an interactive all-day seminar for fabricators. Next week’s presentation will be led by Ed Young, a seasoned business consultant with a wealth of experience spanning startups to Fortune 100 corporations.
Learning objectives for the SIE event include:
- Calculate the true profitability of your business – every day.
- Predict the bottom line on your monthly P&L – before the end of the month.
- Use the right metrics for essential business tasks like financial forecasting and key decisions like adding headcount.
- Accurately evaluate the profitability of customers and market segments.
In addition to the presentation where Young will encourage participants to discuss their challenges and pain points and help them come up with solutions, the session will include time for fabricators to talk with industry sponsors to learn about their products, as well as breaks where attendees can network with each other.
Young brings expertise in business turnarounds, growth strategies and operational improvements and spends time assisting organizations in streamline processes and maximizing profitability. His consulting acumen is grounded in a diverse career in manufacturing, where he held leadership roles from industrial engineer to director of operations.
This session is one of 10 in the SIE series. To learn more about this event, as well as to view the entire 2026 series schedule, visit: www.stoneindustryeducation.com.
