Spanish Tile Manufacturer Association Under New Leadership

CASTELLÓN, SPAIN -- Ismael García Peris will assume the presidency of ASCER, the Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Ceramic Tiles and Floorings, in September 2025, following the announcement by Vicente Nomdedeu Lluesma – president of ASCER since 2018 – of his decision to step down from the position for personal and professional reasons that prevent him from maintaining the level of dedication the role requires.
The resignation will take effect at the next meeting of the Board of Directors, scheduled for September, at which time the presidential handover will be formalized. In accordance with the Association’s bylaws, the vice president with the longest tenure in the role will assume the acting presidency, ensuring institutional continuity until the election of a new Board of Directors. Peris has been a member of ASCER’s Board since 2013 and has served as vice president alongside for the past eight years.
During Lluesma’s presidency (2018–2025), the Association has achieved significant milestones and greatly strengthened its institutional standing, consolidating its position as a key interlocutor with public administrations and other important stakeholders in the sector. His tenure has been marked by challenges of great magnitude, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the energy crisis that severely impacted the ceramic industry, during which Lluesma has led the Association with determination, responsibility, and great effort to safeguard the interests of its members.
Lluesma expresses his deep gratitude for the trust placed in him by the members, as well as for the loyal cooperation of the Board of Directors, the technical team and the various institutional partners.
