NEW YORK, NY -- Greenbuild is excited to present its newest webinar, “The Intersection of Passive House, Equity and Affordability”, taking place Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 1 p.m. ET. The presentation will explore how MSR Design's collaboration with Guadalupe Alternative Program’s (GAP) alternative high school students transformed Passive House principles into affordable, LEED Gold-certified homes, demonstrating how sustainable building techniques can create energy-efficient housing while providing valuable construction skills to young adults pursuing their GEDs. This award-winning project showcases the powerful intersection of sustainability, education and community development, with the first home already sold to a student family. Attendees will learn how pro-bono design work and strategic partnerships can overcome traditional barriers to green building in underserved communities and take home practical insights on transitioning from Passive House certification to Net-Zero energy design that they can apply to their own affordable housing initiatives.
