ATLANTA, GA -- From May 13 to 15, 2025, UMI Stone welcomed Artisan Group members from across the country for the 2025 Artisan Showcase, a dynamic three-day event held in Atlanta, GA. Designed to inspire collaboration, spark innovation and celebrate craftsmanship, the event brought together industry leaders, top-tier fabricators and select vendors under one roof -- and on one track.
Hosted at UMI’s Atlanta West showroom, the full day of programming featured a powerful keynote by John Burns Consulting (featuring Chris Beard), a fast-paced “speed dating” vendor mixer with leading industry partners, and interactive product knowledge sessions -- all with UMI’s signature brand of hospitality.
Attendees also received critical industry updates on silica regulations from the Natural Stone Institute (NSI). Additionally, the International Surface Fabricators Association (ISFA), represented by Marissa Bankert, spoke to the group about advocacy for fabricators.
The day wrapped up with a thrilling evening at the Porsche Experience Center Atlanta, where guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner and high-performance demonstration laps.
“We were proud to host this year's event and showcase our material and our growing presence on the national stage,” said Matt DiNorcia at UMI Stone. “Artisan Group members are some of the best in the business and their participation, along with our incredible sponsors, made this a fantastic experience for all.”
UMI thanks the Artisan Group and the many outstanding sponsors who made the event possible, including: BB Industries, BACA Systems, Bronwick, Flexijet, FreePower, GranQuartz, Laser Products Industries, Kohler, Moksh Tech, More Surface Care, Park Industries, QXM, Schechner Lifson Corp. and Water Treatment Solutions.
This year’s Artisan Showcase offered a fresh format for exploring new tools, technologies and industry best practices. The event concluded with a powerful presentation by Dan Chuparkoff on innovation in the age of AI, leaving attendees energized for what’s next.
“We are thrilled to have UMI as our material supply partner to the group,” said Jon Lancto, executive director of the Artisan Group. “With their deep inventory, extensive selection of surfacing options and their willingness to offer special programs for our members, we see a valuable partnership. All of our vendor partners are instrumental in making our new sponsorship program successful.”
