Mancini Engages The Future By Naming New Principals

sw news
January 23, 2019

NEW YORK, NY – Mancini announces that Jessica Sheridan, AIA, and Michael Kipfer have been elevated to the Principal level of leadership. Their promotion comes on the heels of a groundbreaking year of new initiatives and a proven track record of engaging clients with dynamic services.

“Mancini is constantly evolving, and Jessica and Michael are huge players in the direction we’re headed,” explains Christian Giordano, president of Mancini. “We want Mancini to benefit from a range of experiences and perspectives they bring to our leadership team. From earning repeat business with our valued clients to growing our technology capabilities from big ideas to new service offerings, Jessica and Michael represent the Mancini of the future.”

Sheridan joined Mancini in 2017 and serves on the firm’s leadership team while collaborating with clients on prestige projects throughout New York City. Sheridan’s approach to project leadership reflects the Mancini attitude of taking collective experiences from past projects and applying them across sectors, taking cues on what works from other industries. Recently, Sheridan was named Director At-Large to the American Institute of Architects Board of Directors (2019-2021) and serves on committees at the national and local level, solidifying Mancini’s visibility in the profession of architecture.

“As we move ahead, I aim to continue to collaborate with our clients rather than present to them,” said Sheridan. “This level of transparency opens up a client’s understanding of our process. The future of Mancini and our profession hinges on the trust we build with our clients as partners.”

Kipfer spearheads research and development efforts at Mancini. His brainchild, the Design Lab, was born by exploring and adapting technology such as artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, 3D printing and drones to communicate seamlessly between client and architect. The space is where incubation of ideas merge with technology to develop cutting-edge services and encourage dynamic collaboration with clients. Kipfer works with in-house software developers and designers to integrate technology into the everyday operations of the firm, propelling Mancini’s 21st century capabilities. “I’m excited to continue the momentum that our firm has built in leveraging technology to fuel the design and construction process,” said Kipfer. “There is no formula for great design, and that’s what makes it special - but there are utilizations, and we will capitalize on those through R&D.”

The promotion of Sheridan and Kipfer to Principal establishes a stronghold of leadership in the design and technology sectors of architectural design. Their elevation ensures that Mancini continues its forward thinking trajectory and maintains the high standards the firm is known for.
