Toronto, Canada – Anatolia Tile & Stone announces several new additions to its management team. Following a year of significant growth both in sales and distribution figures, as well as personnel, the company has begun to execute a senior management plan. As part of a multi-year, multi-national strategic initiative that incorporates all facets of the business from facilities, to personnel, to systems integration, the appointment of key executive positions is one of the most critical.

The strategic expansion plan will lay the infrastructure for continued growth and better position the organization, not only in North America, but worldwide. The new senior leaders bring decades of experience in their respective fields, but also fresh new perspectives from outside of the tile and stone industry. The new positions are as follows;

Agostino Nigro Vice President of Operations – Agostino has compiled over 25 years’ experience working in various capacities within the Retail, Wholesale and Process Management sectors. He’s been employed with companies such as Longo’s, Shoppers Drug Mart and Loblaw’s, holding roles as VP of Supply Chain, VP of Distribution Operations and Senior Director of Process Design respectively. A Supply Chain, Procurement and Operations professional, he holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto, and brings extensive experience and expertise in innovation and continuous improvement.

Rajiv Sharma Vice President of IT – Rajiv has 20 years of IT consulting and senior leadership experience working for Fortune 500 companies in Manufacturing, Technology, Retail, Distribution, and Financial services.  Rajiv has a bachelor’s of engineering from the University of Pune and executive MBA from the Richard Ivey school of business. He is well versed in IT Strategy, IT operating model, Application Development, SAP Implementation, Information Architecture, Business Intelligence, Master Data Management & Governance, Project management, QA, and e-Commerce. This extensive experience will help Anatolia Tile + Stone achieve the next level of excellence, creating and implementing solutions to meet client and business needs.

In the Business Development Department, to better service existing customers and continue to penetrate markets and build the Anatolia Tile & Stone brand, three National Sales Directors have been named.

Dan Hansen Director of Business Development USA – An Anatolia team member since 2013 Dan held the responsibility of managing business development in the southern and western USA. Dan has shown continued success in both his leadership role and business development with the independent distribution network in the US. This new position will manage greater responsibility for expanding the distribution network and developing new opportunities nationwide. Over the last 20 years Dan has held several notable management roles in the flooring industry.

John Whitehead Director of Business Development Canada – Also a valued team member since 2015, John has continuously proven success with progressive responsibilities and his rapport with valued customers. Focusing on the Canadian market service and expansion, John will manage a sales team nationwide and drive further penetration in major metropolitan areas. John has previously held the role of VP of Operations and Senior Business Development Manager for Rubaroc Canada.

Ilanit Shapiro National Account Director – Ilanit has an extensive background that encompasses over 20 years’ experience working for companies such as Nien Made Window Fashions, Sears, CIBC and Teknion. She has previously held positions such as a Marketing Manager, Product Manager, National Account Manager and Sales Manager. Ilanit has completed her BBA from York University and her MBA from Schulich School of Business.
