Fila has completed a project, with Stone & Ceramic, Ltd. at The Royal Star & Garter building on Richmond Hill — a suburb of London, England. The collection of luxury apartments and penthouses, by award-winning developer London Square, occupies a “show stopping” Grade II listed building. FilaProject provided a surface cleaning regime for Stone & Ceramic, Ltd.’s installation of marble flooring and wall surfaces, throughout bathrooms, master ensuites, hallways and living spaces.

Once the site of a fashionable hotel, with guests including Charles Dickens, The Royal Star & Garter building was designed by Sir Edwin Cooper for The Royal Star & Garter Home charity for servicemen injured in the First World War. The landmark building was sold by the charity to London Square in 2013. The meticulous restoration and conversion into 86 residences has received multiple awards, including two top accolades in the Evening Standard New Homes Awards.

The meticulous refurbishment of this Grade II listed landmark provides a stunning range of luxuriously specified one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments. It has a magnificent setting, with the iconic view of the river Thames, famously painted by Turner and other artists, visible from the restored gardens.

Richmond Park, the largest of the Royal Parks at 2,500 acres, is next to The Star & Garter, while Petersham Common and Meadows is also within a few minutes walk.

These are unique residences, restored and specified to the highest possible standards. Private facilities, including a leisure suite with a pool, spa and treatment room, Harrods concierge and town car ensure an incomparable lifestyle for residents.

Stone & Ceramic Ltd.’s installation included exquisite honed and polished Bruno Perla marble tiles and stone mosaics. The marble was employed for everything from floors, molding and feature pieces, to walls, sills and vanity tops, throughout the magnificent apartments. FilaProject’s specification included four treatments from its cleaning range: concentrated acid detergent, Fila Deterdek, with its safe buffered formulation; alkaline deep cleaner, FilaPS87; organic stain remover, FilaSR95 and universal FilaCleaner. All treatments provided high performance while safe guarding the natural characteristics of the fine marble surfaces.
