DALLAS, TX --For Daltile Corporation, industry leadership is not just about best-in-class tile products, it's being strong business leaders who provide support to the communities and world we live in. And, through the Legacy of Giving, a company-wide commitment ingrained in the culture of the entire organization to give back to those that support us, Daltile continues it commitment to touch more people, more communities and more organizations in need every year. Most recently, and together with the Wounded Warrior Project, Our Military Kids and Operation Gratitude, Daltile sustained its efforts to build on that legacy by honoring military service members and their families at the Daltile National Sales Conference in San Antonio, TX, from March 30-April 2, 2015.

During the conference, Daltile was joined by three veteran servicemen and their families, who have dedicated their lives to protecting and serving our country. And it was our honor to be able to give them something in return. To show Daltile's gratitude, the families were treated to a week of fun, relaxation and time together in San Antonio. In addition, Daltile employees in attendance at the conference rallied together to assemble 800 Operation Gratitude "Battalion Buddies," special stuffed bears that will be given to the children of deployed U.S. service members to offer comfort and encouragement during a difficult time of separation.

"When it comes to giving back, there is no greater example than our military," said John Cousins, senior vice president of SSCs, Daltile Corporation. "Every day, brave service men, women and their families make tremendous sacrifices to preserve our freedoms. Our efforts at the National Sales Conference are a small token of Daltile's appreciation for the sacrifices made by our military families each and every day."

At the conclusion of the conference, Daltile had an additional surprise for its special military guests, who were all facing an important home repair need. Each family was presented with a $10,000 check and a voucher for 1,000 square feet of Daltile product to be used for a home renovation project.

"We all know the pressures working families face, and even more so for a military family when a parent is away for extended periods of time," said Cousins. "To express our deep appreciation for their sacrifices, we were thrilled to have the opportunity to not only give these families the gift of time to spend together in San Antonio, but additional support for when they return home."

Through its Legacy of Giving initiatives, Daltile supports worthwhile efforts of organizations like Habitat for Humanity, The American Cancer Society, the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the Daltile Interior Design Scholarship, presented by the ASID Foundation. Daltile is committed to leaving a legacy of giving back to those who give so much to us.
