Because the holidays are a time of sharing and giving, Ardex Americas provides employees with an opportunity to donate and volunteer for arranged activities or the organization of their choice.

Giving Tree Gifts were collected and distributed to CYS (Children Youth Services), an organization that provides assistance to children in need, the ALQ Salvation Army's "Treasures for Children" program and a few local families in need.

Employees volunteered at Beaver County Humane Society doing light cleaning or donated items the Humane Society needed. Others volunteered for the Habitat for Humanity ReStore program stocking shelves and performing other light duties. The Sunday before Christmas, employee-volunteers would help load wrapped gifts into vehicles for the Salvation Army Volunteer Event.

Because of the large geographical footprint of Ardex Americas, employees could volunteer for an organization of personal preference and Ardex paid for up to four hours of the employee's time. Manufacturing sites in Bourbonnais, Dallas, Mansfield and Stockton were encouraged to organize local activities.

Ardex Americas supports communities throughout the year through the Adopt-a-Highway project, Veterans' breakfast and Habitat for Humanity. Ardex believes the combination of all of the efforts can have an enormous impact on local communities during the holiday season and year-round, especially for those who may be experiencing difficult times.
