What started 11 years ago as The Granite Buyer’s Club with a few top-tier fabricators that shared a collective enthusiasm of the outdoors has since evolved into the Artisan Group.
The 7th Annual Artisan Group Meeting & Industry showcase was again held at Architectural Stone Group’s headquarters in Austin, TX. The meeting showcased the group’s three newest members: Lakeside Surfaces, Summit Stoneworks and True Blue Granite.
Artisan Group welcomes new members Summit Stone Works in Buda, TX, and True Blue in San Antonio and Austin, as well as welcoming back previous member Lakeside Surfaces Inc. based in Western Michigan, making the group of independent countertop fabricators nearly 35 strong.
Members of Artisan Group recently toured fellow member shop KG Stevens with tour guide Fabricator’s Choice, to see the latest machinery and shop layout efficiency.
Surface fabricator, FLOFORM Countertops Ltd., is the first fabricator in Canada to achieve the prestigious status of one of the 50 Best-Managed Companies in Canada.
Artisan Group countertop fabricators across America raised $32,000 at the group’s first national granite yard sale, “Counters For A Cause,” to help Homes for Our Troops build specially-adapted homes for veterans.
A recent episode of “House Crashers” on the DIY Network featured the team transforming the biggest Phillies fan’s boring basement into a Phillies mancave, including the use of the Artisan Group’s Saratoga Soapstone.
