The historic Stony Creek granite quarry – owned and operated by Stony Creek Quarry, Inc. in Branford, CT – was the site of a learning event sponsored by the New England/New York Metro Chapter of the Natural Stone Institute.
The Stone Fabricators Alliance (SFA) is over 10 years old. It started with a few fabricators meeting at a trade show in Atlanta and they started sharing information and knowledge. Over the years, the SFA has grown into the largest fabricator organization in the world, with members from across the globe.
The new Converge education program at The International Surface Event (TISE): Surfaces | StonExpo/Marmomac | TileExpo will offer the industry a whole new way to gain training, knowledge and information.

A total of 130 registered attendees and 18 vendors gathered at Slabworks of Montana’s facility in Bozeman, MT, on August 9 and 10, 2018 to take part in one of several workshops held by the Stone Fabricators Alliance (SFA) throughout the U.S. each year.
Members of the Midwest Chapter of the Natural Stone Institute (NSI) will gather on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 to tour Coldspring’s NSC 373 Platinum Certified Charcoal® quarry and discuss how sustainability impacts a business.
