Momentum Continues for Latin American Fabricators Network

Following its successful panel discussion at the fast-paced Fabricator Stage during Coverings 2026, the Latin American Fabricators Network (LAFN) traveled to Salt Lake City, UT, for the All Slab Fabbers Workshop, held on July 16 and 17, 2026. LAFN participated in two productive and strategic days at Elevated Stoneworkz, where the organization hosted a representation table during the vendor fair. The group was joined by several respected fabricator-focused brands, including Park Industries, BB Industries, GranQuartz, BACA Systems, CaraGreen, LPI Laser Products (LPI) and many others.
The workshop attracted a diverse audience of business owners, templaters, fabricators, installers and industry professionals committed to improving their operations and expanding their knowledge. Educational sessions covered fabrication techniques, product demonstrations and a wide range of topics focused on best practices for today's fabricator.
LAFN participated in classroom-style discussions that delivered valuable insights on operating a more efficient and profitable fabrication business. Topics included inventory purchasing strategies, supplier relationship management, cash flow preservation, risk reduction and the technologies shaping the next generation of fabrication shops. The high level of audience engagement and the many questions raised throughout the sessions reinforced the industry's need for educational and collaborative events like these.
Beyond the educational content, attendees enjoyed valuable networking opportunities, including a Brazilian-style BBQ lunch and an evening reception sponsored by CaraGreen Healthy Building Materials at Stone Galleria, owned by Erik Rapp. Gathering together over great food provided an ideal setting to continue conversations and strengthen industry relationships formed throughout the day.
The event also provided additional exposure for LAFN. Laura Grandlienard, LAFN founder, and Massimo Ballucchi, marketing consultant, recorded a segment for the Stone Chatter Podcast, highlighting LAFN's mission to ensure Latino stone fabricators have a stronger voice and a seat at the industry table.
LAFN's momentum continues as it looks ahead to our next event, the Raleigh Tech Summit in Raleigh, NC, on September 16 and 17, 2026. “We are excited to continue expanding our network, fostering professional development and creating opportunities for Latino fabricators across the industry,” said Grandlienard.
