Susan Moser, CEO and owner of Moser and Moser, as well as Fauske Marble by Moser, is an advocate for the sustainability of natural stone. Based in Denmark, she currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Natural Stone Institute (NSI) as a global representative. Recently, Moser was recognized for her dedication to the stone industry by Women In Stone (WIS) who awarded her with the 2025 Women In Stone Pioneer Award.

With a passion for promoting the value of natural stone, Moser has taken on the task of reopening the historic Norwegian Rose marble quarry, which sits north of the Arctic circle in Fauske, Norway. “It's been dormant for many years and not really promoted worldwide as it should have been,” she said. “So, this is the task that I have taken on my shoulders, bringing the Norwegian Rose quarry back to the world.”

Moser shared that she got involved with WIS and NSI because she wanted to give back to the industry and share some of her knowledge by helping women in the business with their careers and to set some goals. “One of the things that I do focus a lot on with my mentees is the actual knowledge about natural stone,” she said. “And of course, when I go around, I also put the focus on my quarry and my materials. But at the end of the day, I think it's important that we stand together as an industry and really push natural stone because that will gain jobs and work and business for all of us -- no matter which stone we use.”

Tune in to learn more about Moser, as she speaks on her involvement with WIS, NSI and her years of experience in the stone industry:
