UNITED KINGDOM -- On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, fabricators from across the United Kingdom (UK) and Ireland gathered in the north of England for The Stone Fabricators Event 2026, which was created to allow workers in the stone industry the opportunity to network with peers and had a defined focus on promoting safe working practices and enhancing business profitability. Hosted at the headquarters of global tooling supplier Stonegate Tooling, a standout feature of the event was the series of live tooling demonstrations that took place in the Innovation Hub -- a real-world functioning test stone fabrication workshop.

Over 120 stone industry professionals attended the event, which featured tooling exhibitor stands and a networking lunch. Attendees also had the opportunity to engage with leading material suppliers, including Caesarstone, Laminam, Florim, Marazzi, Brachot, iStone and Clay International, who showcased their latest product releases.

The event featured guidance on key health and safety challenges facing the stone industry. Guest speakers Stephen Smith of Addex Group and Damien Eaves of the British Occupational Health Society, in collaboration with the Worktop Fabricators Federation (the UK trade body for worktop fabricators), highlighted the importance of effective dust management and workforce protection in stone fabrication environments.

“As a world-leading tooling supplier, we recognize our responsibility to support and empower fabricators across the country,” said Clayton Worsley, managing director of Stonegate Tooling.

“With our state-of-the-art premises, we are proud to provide a platform where innovation, expertise and efficiency solutions can thrive. Hosting The Stone Fabricators Event at Stonegate House was a fantastic opportunity to bring together fabricators, industry experts and tooling professionals for one of the most practical trade events in the stone industry. It was incredible to see such a positive turnout and to offer our valued customers the chance to engage in meaningful peer-to-peer networking, sharing knowledge and driving the industry forward to the next level.”
