Sika Launches SikaBond-5700 Resilient Flooring Adhesive

Sika® is introducing SikaBond®-5700, a resilient flooring adhesive designed for the interior installation of luxury vinyl tile, luxury vinyl plank, vinyl sheet goods (heterogeneous/homogeneous), fiberglass backed sheet vinyl, carpet tile, rubber flooring, and more for residential and commercial applications.
With a shelf-life of 2 years, this multi-use flooring adhesive has been formulated to meet the challenging economic environment and add efficiency while achieving successful flooring installations. With aggressive bond strength, SikaBond®-5700 was developed to be a trusted contractor-grade, day-in, day-out LVT/LVP flooring adhesive solution.
Available in 1- and 4-gallon plastic pails, SikaBond®-5700 helps meet the uncertain budgetary demands of today’s marketplace, by providing an easy-to-spread resilient flooring adhesive that can be trowel or roller applied with a coverage rate of up to 400 square feet. This multi-solution flooring adhesive tout’s superior application properties, including high shear and peel strength, high initial tack, and low odor.
Featuring up to 8 hours of working time, SikaBond®-5700 provides added peace of mind with moisture resistance of up to 10 lb. per the ASTM F1869 Calcium Chloride Method test, and 90% RH per the ASTM F2170 Relatively Humidity test. This pressure sensitive flooring adhesive has a shelf-life of up to 24 months. It is easy to clean when wet or dry and allows for permanent (wet-set) or releasable (dry-set) installations. In keeping with Sika’s sustainability mission, SikaBond®-5700 boasts low VOCs and helps contribute to LEED credits.
