Surface Design Show Experiences Strong Turnout

LONDON, ENGLAND -- More than 6,000 architects and interior designers gathered at London’s Business Design Centre for Surface Design Show 2026, where over 180 exhibitors showcased the very best in surface and material innovation. The show combined specification power with industry depth. Visiting practices included Foster + Partners, Grimshaw, Gensler, HOK, Allies and Morrison, David Collins Studio and IA Interior Architects, alongside global brands such as Marks & Spencer, Selfridges, Starbucks and Bloomberg -- the decision-makers shaping high-value projects worldwide.
An expanded program enhanced the experience, with the return of Surface Spotlight, the Innovation Gallery, Green Grads and the Surface Design Awards. A new collaboration with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) hosted two major events during the show, welcoming 250+ chartered members, while more than 50 expert speakers contributed to a diverse talks program. The newly launched Workshop Stage brought materials to life through hands-on sessions, complemented by well-attended industry breakfasts hosted by the British Institute of Interior Design and Commercial Interiors UK.
“We’ve done this show quite a few years in a row and have already booked again next year,” said Alex Rimmer, AntiEtch. “Our experience has been nothing short of superb. The clientele is really good, with a plethora of architects and designers coming through.”
