In 1999, Ricardo Pazos started Creative Granite in a 2,500-square-foot shop. "I was selling during the day and fabricating in the afternoons," said Pazos. "I used to install on Saturdays. We were installing about one to two kitchens a week. Through the years, our customers liked what we were doing and we grew. We then bought a saw in 2005 to help us increase production. Then we started to do a few multi-family projects." Creative Granite is now in a 16,000-square-foot shop and is 100 percent digital. "We have about 55 employees and state-of-the-art equipment," said Pazos. "Two CNC machines, one automated saw, two edge profiler machines and one manual saw." The company was also awarded “Best of the State” since 2013 in custom countertops.

Creative Granite focuses on quartz and granite, using a CNC Champion 5 NT and a CNC Platino 2000 – both from Prussiani. They also have a Yukon II bridge saw, a Velocity Multi-Head Decorative Edge Polisher and a Fast Back II Edge Polisher – all from Park Industries. The CNC Platino 2000 is the shop’s newest piece of equipment. "It has helped us to increase production with only two employees," said Pazos. "Increasing about 30% of our total capacity." The 16,000-square-foot facility has 45 employees and seven installation crews. They use the LT-2D3D Laser Templator and GranQuartz as their tooling supplier.

Creative Granite produces 60 to 80 kitchens per week, averaging 75 square feet a kitchen primarily for new construction residential and multi-family homes. In the future, the company hopes to continue to offer a quality product at an affordable price. "We at Creative Granite love what we do and I think that has been a big part of our success," said Pazos. "From our sales team to our installers, we make sure we are doing exactly what our customers want and deliver a product that our customers will love forever."
