The awards ceremony for the 6th edition of "La Ceramica e il Progetto" took place in Palermo, Italy at the SS. Salvatore Church. This architectural competition, organized by Confindustria Ceramica and Cersaie, awards to the best projects completed using Italian tiles.

The jury, made up of architects Mario Cucinella, Cherubino Gambardella and Fulvio Irace, evaluated 68 projects on the basis of their creativity, functionality and aesthetic taste, taking into consideration the overall design, the use of ceramic tiles, the quality of the installation, and to what degree the space was enhanced by the materials' characteristics of sustainability.

In the Commercial/Hospitality category, the "New Reale Group Offices" in Turin by the Iotti+Pavarani and Artecna studios, whose facade features large Kerlite slabs by Cotto d'Este, was announced the winner. The building's cladding system uses lightweight composite panels finished with large-format ceramic slabs for a visual result that goes hand in hand with the surrounding historic architecture of Turin and makes use of lightweight facade technology for a modern look.
