LOS ANGELES, CA– Walker Zanger, in partnership with Architectural Digest, has announced the Kaza Design competition, which offers all aspiring and established designers and architects the chance to have their original tile design added to the Kaza collection. The design competition launched on May 14, and the winning designer will have their product manufactured by Walker Zanger and earn royalties from the product's sales.

"We look forward to seeing the design community's creativity through the Kaza Design Competition, giving designers and architects the opportunity to bring new inspirations to the Kaza collection," said Walker Zanger vice-president of design and marketing, Jared Becker.

Entrants will be tasked with designing decorative concrete wall tile that complements the current offerings in the Kaza collection. It should be aesthetically pleasing and visually exciting, yet also practical for widespread application and use. The design can showcase a pattern or consist of many differently shaped tiles that form a homogeneous surface when installed together. The panel of judges will include design luminaries from architecture, interior design and fashion, as well as an editor from Architectural Digest.

In addition to the production of their tile and royalties from its sales, the winner will receive a three day trip for two to Budapest, Hungary, where Kaza tiles are manufactured. Flights and accommodations are included, and the winner will get an exclusive opportunity to tour the Kaza production facility.

Entries will be accepted until September 30 and the winner will be announced in November at a celebratory event in New York City. Interested applicants can find more information and submit their designs at walkerzanger.com/kazadesigncompetition.
