SFA holds qualifying rounds for Fabricator Olympics

July 2, 2014

MIAMI, FL -- The SFA Fabricator Olympics are holding qualifying rounds at each SFA workshop throughout the 2014 year. The overall winner of each workshop will be awarded a trip to Surfaces in Miami Beach, FL, in the fall. All the qualifying winners will compete at the show for the crown of Champion.

The three disciplines, comprising both the qualifying and the finals, are flat edge polishing, shaping/polishing a demi-bullnose edge and top polishing a scratch to blend into the existing polished finish. The highest cumulative score at each workshop will advance to the national competition in Miami Beach, compliments of the SFA. There will be prize(s) awarded for the finals.

Upcoming SFA workshops include:

  • July 10 to 12, 2014, Salem Distributing (SFA Staff), North Carolina
  • August 7 to 8, 2014, Mario & Son, Liberty Lake, WA
