The Santa Catarina facility, which opened on Thursday, September 13, 2012, is the fourth Latin American Cosentino Center. The new center includes 23,700 square feet of exhibition areas, showrooms, auditoriums, offices and material storage. |
Eduardo Martinez-Cosentino attended the opening of the new Santa Catarina Center and also noted the recent openings of two other Cosentino facilities in Brazil.
"This new Cosentino Center adds to the centers opened a few months ago in Goiania and the large Cosentino Latina sawing and advanced granite processing factory in Vitória," said Eduardo Martinez-Cosentino, Chief Sales Director of the Cosentino Group and CEO of Cosentino North America. "With these logistical sites, Cosentino will boost its growth in 2012 in Brazil and will lay the foundations for new Cosentino Centers in the coming months, in the state of Belo Horizonte and Fortaleza," said Martinez-Cosentino.
The company will finish 2012 with six operational Cosentino Centers in Latin America, five in Brazil (Vitória, Goiania, Santa Catarina, Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza) and one in Mexico (Mexico City).
The Cosentino Center is a proven and essential fixture in Europe, where the company has its global headquarters. More than a showroom, the Cosentino Center is designed to support, promote, and educate architects and designers by integrating distribution facilities with product display areas, meeting spaces for designers to bring clients, classrooms for continuing education, and full functioning kitchens and event space for demonstrations.
During the next three years, the Cosentino Group plans to open 28 new Centers to reach a total of 90 centers worldwide, following the expansion in the U.S. and focusing on Brazil as the fourth pillar of growth and diversification. In 2011, Latin America was the geographic area that achieved the highest growth in sales with a 48% increase over the previous year.

This year Cosentino celebrates 10 years of presence in Latin America, commemorating the first decade of the granite factory that Cosentino established in the Brazilian city of Vitória (E.S). Cosentino Latina Vitória currently employs more than 100 workers and has been the origin of one of the most successful subsidiaries of the Spanish, family-owned company.
Latina Vitória exceeds 10,000 square feet and boasts the most modern technology in natural stone, for example, Sensa by Cosentino, a revolutionary range of anti-stain granites. Currently, Latina Vitória is the leading exporter of granites in Brazil and has reached sales figures of more than 25 million euros in 2011 with the U.S. as the main market for the production of this factory.
