BAYREUTH, GERMANY - Burkhardt GmbH, an international machine and plant engineering company that manufactures stone-processing equipment, recently took over the complete operation of Arbes Maschinenfabrik KG in Kreuztal-Krombach, Germany. As a result, the company has expanded its business field of stoneworking machines by adding another brand - Carl Meyer and Schlatter - to the existing Hensel Maschinen.

A close cooperation with Eckhard Arbes ensures the continuation of competent service of all Arbes customers in Germany as well as in the international market, Burkhardt reports.

The take-over of the Schlatter “know-how” in 2004 is the basis for a quick and smooth integration of the Arbes business into the Burkhardt activities.

With the purchase of the Arbes “know-how,” Burkhardt aims at more profound market control and increased sales of its innovative range of machines of modern saws, polishing machines and CNC machining centers. The extension of the sales activities is a further step in the new marketing and product strategy of the company - especially in the section of craft and indoor extension. Its role as a leading German manufacturer of innovative machines and plants for stone processing is once again strengthened, according to the company.
