Newsline: CAESARSTONE HIRES SAGI COHEN AS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER . . .

October 12, 2006

CaesarStone, a leading manufacturer of quartz surfaces, has hired Sagi Cohen as its new chief operating officer (COO). Cohen will be responsible for managing and directing CaesarStone's operational functions in the U.S. He will also be responsible for directing and overseeing the company's sales, human resources, logistics and branch and distributor operations, as well as participation in industry trade shows, organizations and associations. As COO, Cohen will report directly to president Arik Tendler. “With his extensive experience in operations, logistics, marketing and sales, Cohen is a tremendous asset to CaesarStone,” said Tendler. “We are thrilled to have him on board and are confident he'll play an integral part in the growth of the company.” Prior to joining CaesarStone, Cohen was marketing manager at Paz Oil Co. Ltd. in Israel, where he managed 130 convenience stores and was responsible for the company's marketing strategy. Cohen began his career at Paz Oil as vice president of sales and marketing and was responsible for more than $500 million in sales a year. Other professional experience includes serving as business department manager at Pelephone Communications and national sales and distribution manager at Strauss Marketing Ltd. A resident of Cupertino, CA, Cohen received a bachelor's degree in management and political science from Ramat-Gan College in Tel Aviv, Israel. In his off hours, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, who range from one to 10 years old. Cohen also enjoys traveling, playing basketball, and playing and listening to music.
