More stone fabricators are producing sinks currently, and manufacturers are continually presenting new models and installation tools in response to increasing demands of their clients. The following is a look at some of the latest sink offerings on the market today.

ArtiStone composite sink line
Artisan Manufacturing’s new ArtiStone composite sink line, which includes six different designs, is made from a high polymer resin mold that delivers exceptional quality and consistency. They are tested against thermal shock resistance to ensure the sink’s longevity and performance. ArtiStone dual mount composite sinks are available in multiple sizes, both in single-bowl and double-bowl styles and currently come in black or brown with more colors expected. Designed to withstand repeated cycles of hot and cold liquids without effect, they are also impact, scratch, stain and chemical resistant. Its materials are screened by world renowned color laboratories, ensuring that ArtiStone sinks will not discolor in direct sunlight or water, or lighten over time.
Nekodasink
Also from Cosmos Granite comes the Nekodasink. Using antibacterial glazing technology, the basin surface is always smooth, bright and clean. With the advantages of abrasion resistance and anti-staining, all Sync art porcelain sinks are easy to clean.
Firing premium ingredients including quartz, feldspar and iron at over 3300 degrees Fahrenheit produces Sync art’s luxurious porcelain sinks that will endure the test of time.
Treviso
Domain Industries has introduced its Bella line of sinks, something far beyond the typical look of stainless steel. Bella boasts a stunning satin pearl finish and luxurious bowl depths. Included in this line is the Treviso model which sports a unique angular design with 16-gauge construction and a popular built in low dam divider. Treviso is new to the Bella series and includes the full Bella accessory package with one deluxe strainer basket. A limited lifetime warranty is also included.
Lexicon Platinum LP-7030
Also from Domain Industries is the Lexicon Platinum Collection, which is constructed from 80% natural quartz, creating an incredibly durable, heat-resistant, hygienic sink surface.
The Lexicon Platinum LP-7030 offset double bowl quartz sink showcases modern design and includes a stylish accessory package. Features include an extra deep 9 ½-inch large bowl, sleek corner radiuses for easy cleaning, and rear drain placement for additional under counter space. The versatile dual-mount rim allows for both undermount and drop-in installations.
Diarex sinks
GranQuartz has introduced a new line of high quality sinks. These feature-rich sinks are easy to install, offer excellent sound control and are built to last. The new GranQuartz Diarex sinks are forged in 18/8 stainless steel for increased corrosion and oxidation resistance. They have a unique sound dampening coating and sound dampening pads on all four sides. Additionally, the solid bracing system prevents flexing within the sink. These new Diarex sinks are available in several sizes and configurations.
“We spent nearly 12 months working with our manufacturer to allow us to offer extremely high-quality sinks at an affordable price,” said Matt Maples, GranQuartz product manager. “Once installed customers will be very pleased with the look and performance.”
Platus fireclay
Houzer Inc. has announced the newest addition to its popular Platus fireclay series, a dual-sided apron front model. The new model offers designers the choice of a modern plain front design or an alternative classic fluted design, while also providing all the benefits of a Houzer fireclay sink. Houzer fireclay sinks deliver the look and feel of genuine fireclay — adding European flair to contemporary kitchen designs with a traditional accent. Platus fireclay sinks feature an apron front design and are high-fired at 2200 degrees Fahrenheit to resist chips, cracks, scratches and heat damage. The gorgeous, glossy finish is more than a pretty facing. The nonporous surface fends off stains and stays hygienic. Platus sinks are generously endowed with 30- and 33-inch single bowls, and a 9 ¼-inch depth available in white and biscuit.
Fireclay farmhouse sink
Also from Artisan Manufacturing, the new Fireclay farmhouse sink comes in both a single- and double-bowl style. This handcrafted, timeless soapstone kitchen sink complements any décor and offers a durable and easy-to-maintain solution for both contemporary and traditional designs alike. Diamond equal double bowl
Blanco combines stylish curves and convenient functionality with the launch of the new Diamond equal double bowl with low divide. The new design offers a lower sink divide, making it easier to transfer heavy pots and pans from one bowl to the other during clean-up. Made from Blanco’s patented and durable Silgranit material, the Diamond makes rinsing large pots and pans simpler by allowing pot handles to fit over the sink divider. Ikon
Blanco has also announced the release of the first ever Silgranit apron front sink. The revolutionary Ikon apron front single bowl breaks ground with its ability to offer a highly sought after aesthetic with the unmatched quality, color selection and resilience of Silgranit. The company also offers a unique custom-fit floating grid accessory for use with the Ikon, which rests along the walls of the sink and can be used as an additional workstation for prepping and cleaning, or as a trivet on the countertop. “Our goal with the creation of the Ikon was to once again raise the bar for innovation in kitchen sink fixtures,” said Tim Maicher, marketing director for Blanco. “After years of research, our engineers were able to deliver what was thought a technical impossibility – a true granite apron front kitchen sink.” The Ikon will be available in three on-trend neutral colors — anthracite, white and café brown.

Valle stainless steel sink
The new Valle stainless steel sink, also from Braxton-Bragg, is an offset double bowl undermount sink constructed from 304 grade stainless steel, with chromium/nickel content. It is available in 18-gauge thicknesses. The surface has a brushed satin finish to help mask small scratches that occur over time and keep the sink looking new for years. This sink contains a 3 ½-inch offset drain, is fully insulated and comes with sound dampening pads.

Urban-Apron
Urban-Apron is the newest product Chemcore Industries has developed. The sink features a shorter apron front (6 ½ inches), which unlike many modern apron front sinks allows it to be used in most standard cabinets. On most similar sinks, the fronts are usually between 8 to 10 inches; dropping low enough to prevent standard cabinet doors from opening — this new product eliminates that problem. The sink also features an open area between the sink bowl and the front apron, which allows the sink to drop over the cabinet edge. This means it is no longer necessary to cut out the cabinet front to allow the sink to fit. Both of these features mean you can now use a standard made cabinet and have a high-quality apron sink installed, with no special cutting or fitting, and have functional, standard cabinet doors. Chemcore offers the Urban-Apron in two sizes and two styles for a total of four models: 30- and 33-inch widths in both a single bowl, and low-divide 50/50 equal bowls. Sink depth on all four models is 9 inches. Sink hole saver
Omni Cubed’s Sink hole saver original, VCM and VCA, protect stone from breakage during fabrication, lifting, transport and installation. These products feature a durable stiffening rail, with clamp or vacuum cup attachments to strengthen and reinforce delicate sink cutouts, backsplashes, thin materials and other fragile pieces. The clamps and cups slide in the stiffening rail for custom placement, and feature easy-grasp knobs which make tightening them into place quick and simple. The stiffening rail is made of durable, non-rusting, lightweight aluminum. The automatic vacuum cup model (VCA) features a powerful, compact vacuum that maintains suction for all cups simultaneously.
