Inspired by the fictional story of a young woman and her dog travelling around the world in search of new flavors and cultures, Pasqual + Sheila in Valencia, Spain, transforms the dining experience into a visual and sensory universe where Mediterranean references coexist with international influences. Designed by the Ukrainian studio YOD Group, the restaurant uses WOW Design's small-format ceramics to create a warm, graphic and deeply contemporary atmosphere.

At Pasqual + Sheila, ceramics become the true visual language of the interior design. WOW Design's small-format pieces create continuous surfaces full of rhythm and texture, giving the restaurant a strong material identity. The flooring introduces a patterned composition with a bold graphic character that brings movement into the space. The diagonal repetition of the pieces generates a continuous and vibrant surface, capable of visually accompanying the restaurant's social energy while reinforcing its contemporary identity.

In contrast, the glazed and relief wall coverings wrap the bar and the project's central volumes with ceramic pieces from WOW Design’s Yoko collection. Their glossy finishes multiply the reflections of natural light and enhance a chromatic palette of terracotta, burgundy and reddish tones that bring warmth to the interior.

One of the restaurant's most distinctive elements is the ceramic-clad central core, where a structural constraint is transformed into a functional and architectural feature capable of visually organizing the space. Around it, the life of the venue unfolds among tables, fluid circulation routes and large glazed surfaces opening onto the city.

Natural light intensifies the reflections on the glazed surfaces and enhances the project's material richness. Illustrations, typography and pop-inspired graphic elements also introduce a more expressive and playful dimension, reinforcing the restaurant's cosmopolitan character.

As Dmytro Bonesko, art director of YOD Group, explains: "We wanted to create a modern and minimalist space; a place that would reference the Valencian context through our own perspective, without literally replicating traditional elements. A space that reflected the hospitality, warmth and personality of its owner -- slightly chaotic, carefree and full of life, sunshine and flavor."
