Old World Granite & Stone Kicks Off First SFA Workshop of 2026
Yancy Devine of Old World Granite & Stone welcomed more 110 fabricators and other stone industry professionals to his shop in Pilot Point, TX, for the first Stone Fabricator’s Alliance (SFA) Workshop of this year.
More than 35 sponsoring suppliers were also in attendance.
During the two-day event, participants had the opportunity to witness live machinery demonstrations.
The Stone Fabricator’s Alliance (SFA) kicked off its first workshop of the year at Old World Granite & Stone in Pilot Point, TX. Owner Yancy Devine is an active SFA member and 2024 SFA Italy Tour participant who wanted to give back and open his shop up to others to “Learn, Share and Prosper.” The two-day event welcomed more than 110 attendees, including fabricators from across the industry and more than 35 sponsoring suppliers, creating a full schedule of education, demonstrations and networking. Participants had the opportunity to witness live machinery and product demonstrations, ask questions directly to suppliers and connect with fellow fabricators in an open collaborative environment.
The workshop also delivered plenty of Texas hospitality. Attendees enjoyed beautiful Texas weather, along with a lively bowling and arcade party dinner after the first night, giving everyone a chance to unwind and continue building relationships outside the shop floor.
"We were honored that the SFA asked us to host the event," said Devine. "We have put a great deal of effort into our shop and are proud to show it to others. There were several attendees who owned smaller fabrication shops that I spoke with during the workshop. They were asking me about how I got to where I am today. I was happy to share our story. We were there. It's painful."
Overall, Devine was pleased at the end of the workshop. "It was a great time and good turnout," he said.
