Global Granite Market Projected to Grow to $6.42 B by 2033, Report Says

The global market for granite is expected to grow from $4.03 billion in 2024 to $6.42 billion by 2033, expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 5.4%, according to a new forecast by Grand View Research.
Granite’s durability, aesthetic appeal and resistance to environmental wear are driving demand in infrastructure, commercial and residential construction. Natural stone slabs—commonly used in countertops, flooring and public spaces—accounted for more than 54% of market revenue in 2024.
The Asia-Pacific region led the market last year, holding a 51.4% share, while the United States represented over 70% of North American revenue. The fastest regional growth is expected in the Middle East and Africa, with a projected CAGR of 6.8% through 2033.
Kitchen and bathroom countertops remained the largest application, accounting for over 38% of granite usage in 2024. Growth is expected to continue as urbanization accelerates, disposable incomes rise, and governments invest in infrastructure such as airports, highways and bridges.
Advances in fabrication technologies, including CNC cutting and 3D carving, are enabling greater design flexibility and supporting demand for sustainable and customized materials.
Still, the industry faces challenges such as rising extraction and transportation costs, stringent quarrying regulations and increased competition from engineered stone alternatives like quartz and porcelain.
Major companies profiled in the report include Able Group Berhad, Arizona Tile, Levantina and Dakota Granite Company. Recent developments in early 2025 include Able Group’s expansion of its Johor facility, Arizona Tile’s opening of a 60,000-square-foot showroom in California, Levantina’s sale of a key processing plant in Spain, and Dakota Granite’s investment in advanced CNC machinery.
Industry experts say that as builders and consumers shift toward high-performance, eco-conscious materials, granite is well-positioned to remain a key player in sustainable construction.
