David Rothberg Honored for Lifetime Service in the Tile Industry

JACKSON, MS -- David A. Rothberg, chairman of Laticrete International, Inc., is the recipient of one of the National Tile Contractors Association’s (NTCA) most prestigious honors, the NTCA Joe Tarver Award for Lifetime Service. The award will be presented at the NTCA and Tile Council of North America (TCNA) Awards Reception during Coverings 2025, on Thursday, May 1st at 5:30 p.m. in Room S230E at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. All are invited to join NTCA in celebrating Rothberg and his contribution to the tile industry.
Named in honor of NTCA Executive Director Emeritus Joe Tarver, who led the association from 1972 to 2002, the Joe Tarver Award is a lifetime achievement honor recognizing exceptional service and commitment to the tile industry. Rothberg's impressive career began in 1978 in Laticrete’s laboratories, leading to roles as scientist, technical service representative, vice president of finance and administration, CEO, and ultimately, chairman. A Harvard Business School graduate with a B.S. in Geology from Emory University, Rothberg’s leadership and global outreach have helped maintain Laticrete’s family run legacy while fostering innovation, education and philanthropy across more than 100 countries.
Rothberg’s recognition follows a legacy of excellence from Laticrete, joining previous recipients Henry Rothberg (2006) and Ed Metcalf (2022). His commitment to community and industry advancement embodies the values celebrated by this prestigious award.
