Full-body sintered stone has arrived in southeast Asia, with Lapitec now distributed in Indonesia. The expansion is part of the overall growth in demand for a material that, in a few short years from 2012 to today, has been met with increasing appreciation by architects and kitchen-related enterprises. With the material now distributed in 72 nations, exports total 75% of turnover for the company, which sends large-scale sintered stone slabs to America, Europe, Asia and Oceania from its head offices in Vedelago, Italy.

The Bianco Assoluto and Nero Assoluto shades are at the forefront of this success, launched last year at CERSAIE. “These two new colours”, Ballarin explained, “have had a notable impact on the market, exceeding our expectations. It’s confirmation that the synergy created along the entire supply chain and among stakeholders is producing concrete, positive results. Product innovation, for both colours and finishes as well as applications, is part of our DNA, a quality which the market has recognised year after year. For this reason, we’ll launch a new finish at CERSAIE 2018: Velvet, designed for large interior surfaces, enhancing the options available to architects and designers”.
