Architectural Surfaces Group announces acquisition of Bedrock International

Midwest natural stone distributor to enhance existing product lines

February 21, 2018

ANAHEIM, CA -- Select Interior Concepts, Inc. (SIC), a holding company for the consolidation and management of companies focused on interior building products and services, has announced its Architectural Surfaces Group (ASG) subsidiary acquired Bedrock International, a leading distributor of natural stone in the Midwest. The transaction allows ASG to enhance existing products from natural stone, quartz slab and tile, while providing new offerings such as plumbing fixtures.

“Bedrock’s reputation for high-quality materials and unparalleled customer service aligns with ASG’s reputation in the marketplace,” said Sunil Palakodati, president of Architectural Surfaces Group. “The acquisition will ensure we can continue to grow and scale, while adding value for our customers.”

Consumer trends over recent years have indicated that kitchen and bath remodeling is ranked among the top consumer projects. These two room classifications are the most functional highly utilized rooms in the home, therefore partnering with a reputable company like Bedrock allows for ASG to take full advantage of this market opportunity.

“The ASG network allows us to continue providing superior service to our customers, as well as providing new exciting opportunities for our employees,” said Byron Dougherty, founder of Bedrock International. “We are excited about this new opportunity and look forward to working together to build the business.”

The acquisition of Bedrock International expands ASG’s reach across 20 markets, including Des Moines, Kansas City, St. Louis and Tulsa.
