Cevisama is developing the program of activities for its next edition, scheduled to take place February 5 to 9, 2018, at Feria Valencia, Spain.

In the coming edition, the Architecture and Interior Design Forum will give a qualitative leap with the addition of renowned figures in the field of design, interior design, and architecture. Among them will be Eduardo Souto de Moura, whose presence is confirmed for the fist afternoon of the fair.

Eduardo Souto de Moura, born in Porto, Portugal, in 1952, received his architectural degree from the School of Fine Arts of the University of Porto. After working at Álvaro Siza’s studio from 1974 to 1979, he set up his own practice in his native city in 1980. Among his recognized works are the Municipal Market of Braga, the Casa das Artes Cultural Center in Porto, the Municipal Stadium of Braga, the Portuguese Pavilion at the 11th Venice Architecture Biennale, the Todos los Santos Hospital in Lisbon, and the Paula Rêgo Museum in Cascais.

Outside of Portugal, he has built La Pallaresa Complex in Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Spain), the building at the Novartis Campus in Basel (Switzerland), and the Uitzicht Crematorium in Courtray (Belgium). Currently, he has several projects in progress, including the theater La Comédie in Clermont-Ferrand (France).

Besides teaching at his alma mater from 1981 to 1991, he has been a visiting professor at the architecture schools of Paris-Belleville (France), Dublin (Ireland), Harvard (U.S.), Zurich and Lausanne (Switzerland). He is an honorary member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
