SECAUCUS, NJ -- Last night, Artistic Tile hosted a very well-attended grand opening event for their new slab gallery and tile factory located at 520 Secaucus Road in Secaucus, NJ. The event, which drew in more than 100 people, kicked off with a hands-on presentation by a representative of Houzz. Known as the "Wikipedia of interior and exterior design," this interactive app was created to make it easier to search, save and share design ideas with fellow industry professionals. The detailed presentation showed guests how to use all facets of the interactive app, and present ASID, AIA, NKBA, NARI and NAHB members received 1 CEU credit for attending.

Following the presentation, guests had the chance to meander around the 25,000-square-foot slab gallery or take a self-guided tour of the accompanying tile factory, where employees of Artistic Tile had mini-stations set up to explain each part of the manufacturing process, from calibration to the assembling of the mosaics. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres were served during this time, and a woman adorned in carnival-like, golden attire on stilts greeted guests as they made their way around the facility.

The gallery, which was unveiled to the public for the very first time, was filled with close to 1,200 slabs from all over the world, according to company president, Josh Levinson, who was happy with the event's overall turnout.
