Readers chose Daltile as one of their top choices in the Kitchen Flooring, Bath Wall Coverings and Bath Flooring categories. Almost 1,500 design professionals cast their votes nominating brands in more than 20 kitchen and bath categories. Winning brands met criteria considered essential to helping designers serve their clients, including: local availability, supplier support and price point, among others. Daltile also received high marks for its striking visuals and exceptional durability.

Encouraging signs from the U.S. market after the 2014 edition of StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas was reported by Italian stone producers. In the first 10 months of 2013, processed and finished goods were shipped across the Atlantic worth 298 million euros (approximately $405 million U.S.) — up 29% over 2012. The performance by Italian marble quarrying and processing machinery and equipment also improved, with the U.S. ranking as fifth importer — totaling 41 million euros ($56 million U.S.) in the third quarter of 2013, up 9% over the previous year.
