Crayola and Surfaces, Inc. to debut recycled-glass tile collection at Coverings 2013

This new series is approved for both floor and wall use in commercial and residential applications

March 25, 2013
The new Crayola Recycled Collection consists of 36 solid colors in two finishes and nine special blends. Approved for both floor and wall use in commercial and residential applications, this new series is produced using SCS certified 99% recycled glass, which makes all products ideal for any LEED project. These will be exhibited at Coverings 2013 in Atlanta, GA, along with the original Crayola Glass Tile Collection, which debuted last year, and includes 42 solid colors, 18 blends and 6 special shaped (puzzle) mosaics.

Surfaces, Inc. in conjunction with Crayola has created a glass tile collection composed of 99% recycled glass. The line will be exhibited next month at Coverings in Atlanta, GA.

Miami-based Surfaces, Inc., producers and suppliers of glass tile, in conjunction with Crayola, LLC, the Easton, PA- based brand known for its iconic art tools that inspire kids’ creative expression, will be bringing this colorful all-American glass tile range to the exposition.

"Crayola is a wonderful, well-respected American brand-name," said Paul J. Young, CEO of Surfaces, Inc. "It's a name associated with beautiful colors, creativity and of course, with children. When one associates the word 'kids' with 'creative colors,' it's a safe bet that the word 'Crayola' will pop up as well. And, we're taking this green collection to a new level by offering a myriad of unique, business-building opportunities for progressive tile marketers across the country."

"Our partnership with Surfaces allows us to bring Crayola colors into homes in a unique way by bringing fun and creativity to kids’ spaces," said Crayola Vice President of Licensing Warren Schorr. "The colors are vibrant and the shapes are playful and fun."

The Crayola Glass Tile Collection colors reflect the brilliant hues that characterize Crayola crayons, and include Fire Engine Red, Taxi Cab Yellow, Deep Sea Blue, North Pole White and more. All of this series is stocked in the U.S. ready for timely distribution.

The new Crayola Glass Tile Collection may be seen at Coverings 2013 at exhibit # 5214, April 29th - May 2nd at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA.
