Hanwha L&C USA, a leading surface manufacturer, recently introduced its product recycling initiative, a donation program developed to repurpose showcased products for use by area charities. The inaugural product donation of its HanStone, Hanex and new Miraton products that debuted at the recent Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBI/S) in Atlanta, GA, are being donated to the local Habitat for Humanity ReStore, benefiting area working families.
The products donated to the Atlanta Habitat for Humanity ReStore are resold to the public, and the proceeds benefit the mission of Atlanta Habitat for Humanity. Donated items, valued at over $8,000, included 2,400 square feet of Miraton tile flooring, a non-porous, non-staining, minimal maintenance required premium quartz surfacing material; a 100% Acrylic Solid Surface Hanex vanity, ideal for kitchen and baths because of its resistance to heat, moisture pollutants, bacteria and other harmful agents; and HanStone Ruscello fine quartz slabs, a luxurious, versatile material that can withstand everyday usage in kitchens, bathrooms and entertainment areas.
“We are proud to be developing a program that benefits the lives of local families and may assist many more, especially during these difficult economic times,” stated Dr. Daniel Yu, president of Hanwha L&C North America.
