Newsline: MIRACLE SEALANTS CO. OPENS STATE-OF-THE-ART PLANT IN PHOENIX . . .

November 18, 2006
Miracle Sealants Co., a leading manufacturer of tile, stone and masonry protection and care products, opened a new state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Phoenix, AZ, on October 15. Miracle Sealants will manufacture all of its penetrating sealers, color enhancing sealers, cleaners and abrasives at this new 40,000-square-foot facility. Shipping operations to both its Atlanta and California warehouses will begin in November.

“This new manufacturing facility represents a key step in Miracle Sealants' ongoing commitment to meet the needs of professionals in our industry,” stated Al and Joe Salvo, owners of Miracle Sealants Co. “Our market is growing rapidly, and we are committed to supporting its growth.” The Salvos cite three major factors in the company's decision to locate the plant in Phoenix: proximity to customers; proximity to corporate headquarters; and a favorable business climate.

“The City of Phoenix was extremely helpful and supportive of our efforts, providing valuable guidance as we entered the local business community. We would like to thank the City of Phoenix's 'Community and Economic Development Department,' which went out of its way to ensure that we had every resource necessary to meet our objectives of this new facility,” stated the Salvos. “Miracle Sealants looks forward to being a productive member of the Phoenix community for many years to come.”

Miracle Sealants also noted several additions to its staff:

Jim Scholler has been added to Corporate Operations. He has over 25 years of experience in the chemical industry, including strategic planning, project management, operations, new product development and quality assurance as well as ISO experience. Scholler has a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry from the University of California, San Diego and an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. He is expected to identify opportunities and develop solutions for improved quality, yield and efficiency in the company's operations and customer service.

Allen Chang has been named Controller, and he comes to Miracle Sealants with over 23 years of experience in the field of accounting, specializing in manufacturing. He has a Masters Degree in Accounting from Woodbury University Los Angeles, CA, and he will identify opportunities and develop solutions for improved accounting as it relates to internal controls, manufacturing operations, sales reports, customer service and financial reporting.

Teresa Burdick has been added to the Human Resources Department, and she has over 10 years of experience in the field of Human Resources and Educated Management -- with respect to laws, regulations, interviewing skills and sexual harassment. Her history includes a 100% compliance record in audits and office reviews over the past 10 years. She has a BA in Psychology from Cal-Sate University of Northridge and an MBA, emphasis in Human Resources Management, from Woodbury University in Los Angeles, CA.

John Sims has joined Miracle Sealants' Information Technology (IT) Department, and he has a decade of experience in the IT industry, working for companies in the financial, pharmaceutical and transportation industries. He is attending DeVry University, earning a Bachelors Degree in Technical Management, and holds several Microsoft certifications as well as other industry certifications.
